Mentorship program for women and non-binary photographers

Women Photograph will pair industry leaders from The New York Times, The Guardian, the Associated Press, Apple and others with 24 budding photojournalists. The yearlong mentorship program is for women and non-binary photographers with less than five years of experience. Learn more here.

Residence grant for scholars
Deadline: October 1
The Getty Foundation offers grants to researchers who will spend up to nine months in residence at the Getty Research Institute or Getty Villa in Los Angeles. Scholars will pursue their projects free from academic obligations. Learn more about the grant here.
Photojournalism grant for students and professionals
Deadline: October 5
The Alexia Foundation is offering photography grants to one professional and one student to produce substantial picture stories that help promote world peace and cultural understanding. The University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School organizes the Wharton Seminars for Business Journalists, which will take place online Oct. 26 and 27. Photography contest for all levels

Polish media company Agora SA organizes the Krzysztof Miller Prize, which recognizes images that provide a deep, fair and courageous insight into difficult social, political, economic and cultural issues. Winners will receive cash prizes. Click here for more information.
Fellowship for early-career science writers
Deadline: October 25
The Open Notebook and the Burroughs Wellcome Fund seek candidates for an eight-month fellowship to report and write science articles. Fellows will receive a US$4,200 stipend and will work under the guidance of a mentor. Learn more here.
