Established scholars and writers can apply for this residence grant.
The Getty Foundation created the Getty Scholar Grants for researchers who would benefit from pursuing their own projects free from academic obligations in residence at the Getty Research Institute or Getty Villa in Los Angeles.
Scholars may be in residence from three, six or nine months. Grants range from US$21,500 for three months to US$65,000 for nine months. They also receive an office, an apartment in the Getty scholar housing complex, airfare to and from Los Angeles and available healthcare option.
The deadline is Oct. 1.
