Scholarships to conference for nonfiction content creators Deadline: September 7

The World Congress of Science and Factual Producers will take place Nov. 27 to 30 in Brisbane, Australia. Journalists and others who create content related to science, history or other nonfiction fields can apply for funding to attend the conference. Fellowship for journalists and new media creators Deadline: September 13

Scholars working on specific projects can apply for a yearlong fellowship at the Radcliffe Institute at Harvard University. Fellows receive funding, office space and access to other resources.  For more information, click here.

UN journalism competition Deadline: September 15

Journalists around the world that cover the UN and its agencies can submit their published work for a chance at an award from the United Nations Correspondents Association (UNCA). Winners will receive a cash prize. Learn more here.

Film festival on human rights Deadline: September 15

Filmmakers can submit their work that focuses on human rights for a chance to be included in the One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival from People in Need. The event will take place in March in the Czech Republic. Click here for more information.

Documentary film festival on life in the North Deadline: September 15
