Independent media, advocacy, education and outreach initiatives registered on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, the countries of the European Union or the Eastern Partnership can apply.
The Freedom House has announced a call for applications for the "Media Freedom Matters" program to provide financial support for projects that seek to raise awareness about press freedom and freedom of expression.
The organizers will select up to two initiatives, which will receive financial support of up to EUR10,000.
Potential project angles include initiatives aimed at strengthening the role of media in advancing accountability for corruption, human rights abuses or other violations.
Priority will be given to initiatives addressing local or regional level freedom of expression or press freedom issues.
The deadline is Nov. 30.
