Journalists and students interested in elections reporting can participate in this free online course.
The Schools of Communication, Management, Economics and Law of the Brazilian Institute of Education, Development and Research (IDP, in Portuguese) are organizing course "Elections coverage: from fact-checking to investigation."
The course is divided into five classes to be held at 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. GMT-3 between Oct. 5 and 16.
The topics are an introduction to fact-checking and datasets; the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) method; basic electoral law in Brazil; election polls; fact-checking tools; investigations on misinformation; and more.
