Journalists with data journalism projects related to the pandemic can apply for funding.

The John S. Knight Journalism Fellowships at Stanford University and Big Local News, a project of the Stanford Journalism and Democracy Initiative, are offering new data journalism grants.

The program aims to fund data-driven stories focusing on the new coronavirus, which can be replicated elsewhere.

The grants are intended to cover the costs of data collection, analysis and reporting. Grants will range from US$5,000 to US$25,000.

The deadline is Oct. 5.
