Journalists interested in data journalism can participate in this four-week course.
The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, through its Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), hosts the free course “Equity and ethics in data journalism: hands-on approaches to getting your data right” June 22 to July 19.
The course is divided into four modules covering: essential concepts in equity and ethics for data journalism; gathering and collecting data for your data story; analyzing data for your data story; and visualizing and communicating data for your data story.
The instructor is data expert Heather Krause, founder of Datassist and We All Count, a project for equity in data.
The course is accessible to anyone with an internet connection.
