The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is accepting nominations for its 2019 Award for Humanitarian Reporting.

Contestants must submit articles on the theme of "livelihoods and daily life," showing how current conditions in Gaza or the West Bank affect ordinary people’s ability to make a living and the consequences on daily life.

Entries should not have been published before and must be submitted in Arabic.

The first, second and third place winners will receive US$700, US$500 and US$300, respectively.

 The deadline is Oct. 30.
