Journalists who are fluent in English and have at least five years of experience can apply for a fellowship in Colombia.
The Gabo Fellowship in Cultural Journalism 2019 is organized by the Gabo Foundation and Colombia's Ministry of Culture Nov. 27 to Dec. 1 in Cartagena.
The fellowship will bring together journalists from around the world to the 11th edition of the Caribbean Cultural Market, in Cartagena, where they will delve deeply into the craft of cultural journalism and produce stories for their newsrooms.
Fifteen candidates will be selected: five from Colombia, five from Latin America and five from other regions of the world. They will receive accommodation for six nights in a shared room, reimbursement of up to US$250, medical insurance and some meals.
The deadline is Oct. 7.
