Journalists from the Americas and the Iberian Peninsula with works in Spanish and Portuguese can compete in this contest.
Fundación Gabo organizes the Gabo Awards, which reward excellence, innovation and ethics in journalism.
Journalists can compete in four categories: feature, images (including photography, video and visualizations), news coverage and innovation.
The winners in each category will receive a diploma and COP35,000,000 (US$9,422). In addition, the two finalists in each category will receive COP8,000,000 (US$2,153).
The deadline is Oct. 5.
