Journalists and others interested in understanding new technologies for journalism can participate in this course in English.
The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, through its Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), is offering the free course “News algorithms: the impact of automation and AI on journalism" Feb. 11 to March 10.
Participants will learn about how news media are using algorithms, automation and AI to do journalism and how they can apply these tools in their own work.
The instructor is Nicholas Diakopoulos, assistant professor at Northwestern University and director of its Computational Journalism Lab.
The course is accessible to anyone with an internet connection.
