Students and journalists interested in working with international news agencies can register for this course in Rio de Janeiro.

The Hélio Alonso University (FACHA, in Portuguese) will offer the course "International journalism and news agencies" Jan. 27 to Feb. 7, 2020.

The course will cover the relations between international news agencies and Brazilian television, based on the interest of the global news market in events in Brazil; news production with potential for repercussion abroad, introducing monetization and distribution practices; the commercial value of news coverage: hard news, breaking news, broadcast pools and reports; and content produced by citizen journalists and its commercial value.

The instructor is Maria Angélica Dias da Cruz, a 30-year veteran journalist of TV Globo.

The registration is ongoing, but spots are limited. The cost is BRL700, with discounts available to FACHA students.
