Journalists from Madagascar, Comoros, Seychelles, Mauritius and Djibouti, with at least three years of professional experience and a strong interest in climate issues, sustainable development and information integrity, are invited to apply.

UNESCO, in partnership with the Indian Ocean Commission and in collaboration with the University of Mauritius, the Media Trust and Africa 21, is launching a call for applications for journalists and media professionals from these five countries. The initiative aims to enhance their skills in reporting on environmental issues and strengthen their role in helping the public navigate environmental information through media and information literacy.

This training is part of the The Global Initiative for Information Integrity on Climate Change launched on November 19 by the United Nations, UNESCO and the Brazilian government.

The training will take place May 13 to 15 in Port Louis, Mauritius.
