Young people with a strong interest in journalism, a good command of English, and at least one of the program languages (German, Czech, Slovak or Ukrainian) can apply.
JÁDU magazine, a project of Goethe Institute, offers a three-month tailor-made mentorship by experienced journalists from the Perspectives network of newsrooms. This year's program will focus on non-metropolitan areas and stories connected to experiences and challenges of young people living outside of big cities.
The program will run in two rounds: from March to May (participants will attend a week-long training in Hungary in April) and from September to November (a week-long training will take place in Estonia in September).
Participants will receive a monthly stipend of EUR700; the organizers will cover potential research-related travel expenses and expenses connected to participation in training. The content created during the program will be published in JÁDU magazine.
The deadline to apply for the program's first round is Feb. 23.
