ICFJ offers Media Literacy Training [West Africa]

Young professionals, 18 to 30, from West Africa can apply for media literacy training.

The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) is offering its Media Literacy Training for West African Young Professionals. This program will help young people better understand AI, disinformation and media literacy, while providing the opportunity to develop compelling and engaging digital projects that increase responsible civic engagement and combat false narratives in the region.

The program offers online training, project grants, and more. Participants will receive mentorship, coaching, problem-solving support and skill reinforcement.

Young professionals from civil society, education, the public or private sector, academia and/or any other non-journalism fields can apply.

Individuals from the following countries are eligible: Cote D'Ivoire, Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Sierra Leone, Guinea Conakry, Togo, Benin, The Gambia, Ghana and Cameroon.

The deadline is Jan. 15, 2025.
