Journalists and journalism students living in Belize, the Dominican Republic, Guyana, Jamaica, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago can apply for this opportunity.

Climate Tracker is organizing a workshop on energy transition, in which 40 participants will learn about the topic in an intensive, dynamic and interactive session that will take place on Sept. 19.

After the workshop, participants may submit a proposal to be one of the nine fellows selected to join the Climate Journalism Mentorship Program for the Caribbean. These candidates will learn advanced journalistic techniques for effective reporting of the energy transition from October to December.

As part of the program, they will receive a stipend of US$900 to produce three stories and a social media video.

The workshop and program will primarily be conducted in English. However, participants can produce stories in their native language.

The deadline is Sept. 6.
