French-speaking journalists who have published one or more fact-checking articles in the relevant categories between January and September 2024 are invited to apply.
In conjunction with the Médialab Francophonie program and the upcoming Francophonie Summit in Paris on Oct. 4-5, 2024, CFImedias, Nothing2Hide, and the École publique de journalisme de Tours are proud to announce the Francophone Fact-Checking Journalism Award.
Prizes of EUR1,000 (US$1,099) will be awarded in the following categories:
- Best Verification of Political Statements
- Best Debunking of Rumors
- Best Recontextualization of Audiovisual Content (sound, photo, video)
- Best Debunking of Fake News Impacting Women
The application deadline is Aug. 31.
