Filmmakers from Saudi Arabia, Africa, Asia and the Arab world can submit their films and win an award.
The Red Sea International Film Festival seeks applications for its fourth edition, which will take place from Dec. 5 to 14 in Al Balad, Jeddah.
The competition’s categories are Red Sea: Competition and Red Sea: Shorts Competition sections, as well as the New Saudi/New Cinema section.
All films must be submitted in their original language. If the original language of the film is not in English, the viewing copy must be subtitled in English.
The titles in the competition will compete for the prestigious Yusr Awards, including the Red Sea Golden Yusr Award for Best Film in Competition, which carries a cash prize of US$100,000. Cash prizes are also available for additional awards such as: Best Director Award, Jury Yusr Award, and Golden Yusr for Best Short Film.
The early bird deadline is July 5 and the regular deadline is Aug. 22.
