Journalists around the world who are interested in climate change and the economy can apply for a fellowship.
New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business is offering its Climate Economics Journalism Fellowship. The program will bring a group of journalists to NYU Stern’s Greenwich Village campus in New York to learn from globally recognized experts in the emerging field of climate economics.
Participants will discuss the fundamental factors and latest trends in climate economics and finance. Topics for discussion include climate risks to financial stability; how climate change is altering corporate decision making; and the economics of climate regulation + carbon markets.
NYU Stern will cover the cost, including meals, for all fellows participating in the program.
Fellows who reside outside the New York Metro Area will receive a US$2,000 stipend to cover travel and accommodation costs; those residing inside the New York Metro Area will receive a US$1,000 stipend.
The program takes place Sept. 19 to 20.
The deadline is May 31.
