Journalists with a proven track-record of covering conflicts for an international media outlet can apply.
The Thomson Reuters Foundation (TRF) is hiring a journalism consultant with practical experience in war and conflict journalism to co-develop and deliver a university course curriculum on conflict journalism to a cohort of undergraduate journalism students.
The consultant will work alongside a pedagogical expert, TRF staff and a partner university in Ukraine to co-develop this course, which should incorporate a blend of practical, skills-based learning with theoretical concepts in conflict journalism.
Applicants must be familiar with the cultural and political context in Ukraine and have previous experience working and/or living in the country.
Experience working with academic institutions to develop practical, skills-based courses, and Ukrainian language skills would be an asset.
This short-term consultancy begins in March and ends in December.
The deadline is March 15.
