El-Gouna Film Festival is accepting submissions for its eighth edition which is scheduled to take place from Oct.16 to 24 in El-Gouna, Egypt.
The festival’s program consists of five competitions: Feature Narrative Competition, Feature Documentary Competition, Short Film Competition, Cinema for Humanity Audience Award which honors films that exemplify humanitarian themes, and the El-Gouna Green Star Award, dedicated to inspirational films that raise awareness about environment, ecology or wildlife, as well as their sustainability and importance.
Filmmakers can compete for awards totaling more than US$224,000, in addition to trophies awarded to winners in the competitive sections.
The deadline for film submissions is June 30.
