Reuters is seeking a deputy editor to join its bureau in Dubai and cover Middle East breaking news.
Responsibilities include support the breaking news editor in managing a dynamic team covering news from across the region; publishing alerts on breaking news clearly, accurately and quickly; and writing follow up stories and updates at speed to meet the needs of Reuters financial, professional and media clients.
The deputy editor will also digest statements on political, financial, economic, energy and commodities news, as well as speeches, tweets and TV broadcasts, breaking out the essential information.
Applicants must have a strong understanding of the main issues at play in the region and a solid knowledge of the energy and financial industries.
