Early and midcareer journalists in India and the United States can apply for investigative reporting grants.

The Human Rights and Religious Freedom Journalism (HRRFJ) Grant Program, launched by the Indian American Muslim Council (IAMC), is accepting proposals for reporting projects that cover key challenges confronting minorities and marginalized communities in India and the Indian diaspora in the United States.

High value will be placed on in-depth investigative reporting on human rights and religious freedom issues. Multimedia proposals are welcome.

Successful applicants will receive grants up to US$1,500.

The application deadline is Sept. 10.
