Arab journalists with exceptional reporting experience can apply to receive an award.
The Arab and Middle Eastern Journalists Association (AMEJA) is accepting submissions for a series of awards to highlight exceptional work by and about Arab, Middle Eastern, and North African communities.
Each winner will receive US$500 in the following categories: Best coverage of the Middle East and North Africa region; Best coverage of Arab, Middle Eastern, and North African immigrant and heritage communities in North America; and the Walid El-Gabry Memorial Award, named after one of AMEJA’s founders to recognize the exceptional work of an AMEJA member.
Submitted works must have been published between Aug. 1, 2022 and Aug. 1, 2023. All manner of reports - print, digital, audio-visual - are welcome.
The application deadline is Aug. 1.
