Workshop provides digital tools for investigative reporting [Caribbean]

Caribbean journalists interested in investigative journalism can attend a free in-person workshop.

The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) and CONNECTAS are hosting the workshop “Digital Tools for Investigative Reporting.” The workshop will provide participants with digital tools for physical and virtual safety, multimedia narratives and investigation techniques applied to investigative journalism.

Interested journalists must submit a research proposal about a relevant topic of public interest. Proposals with prior reporting will be preferred.

The workshop will be held June 9 to 11 in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. The program will cover airline tickets, transport, housing and food.

Journalists living and working in one of the following countries can apply: Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, The Bahamas, Belize, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Suriname.

The deadline is May 22.
