Brazilian journalists based in the Legal Amazon region can apply for these fellowships.
The Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalism (Abraji) and Transparência Internacional - Brasil are offering fellowships for Abraji's annual investigative journalism conference. This year's conference will take place in São Paulo, July 10-13.
There are 12 travel fellowships available for journalists living in any of the states comprising the Legal Amazon area (Acre, Amapá, Amazonas, Mato Grosso, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima, Tocantins and Maranhão). Applicants should also have previous experience in environmental reporting.
The fellowship covers the registration fee for the conference, airplane tickets, hotel and meals.
The application deadline is May 19.
