Brazilian journalists based in the Legal Amazon region can apply for these fellowships.
The Brazilian Association of Investigative Journalism (Abraji) and Transparência Internacional - Brasil, with funds provided by Agence Française de Développement (AFD), are offering fellowships for Abraji's annual investigative journalism conference. This year's conference will take place in São Paulo, June 29 to July 2.
There are six travel fellowships available for journalists living in any of the states comprising the Legal Amazon area (Acre, Amapá, Amazonas, Mato Grosso, Pará, Rondônia, Roraima, Tocantins e Maranhão). Applicants should also have previous experience in environmental reporting.
The fellowship covers the registration fee for the conference, airplane tickets, hotel and meals.
Application deadline is May 22.
