The program Conexão Oceano de Comunicação Ambiental, a initiative from Fundação Grupo Boticário de Proteção à Natureza, in partnership with COI-UNESCO, is seeking story pitches about the oceans.
Journalists can submit story ideas that address the links between ocean preservation and aquatic sports or sports activities directly influenced by coastal areas.
Journalists can submit up to two story ideas to be published or broadcast in print, online, radio and TV. Up to five proposals will be given a BRL10,000 grant to fund the reporting.
Photographers can submit their finished work in any of the four categories: landscapes, ocean-related activities, female protagonism and marine life. A total of BRL30,000 will be distributed among the best images.
The application deadline is April 14.
