Investigative journalists from minority groups or those from low-circulation papers, TV journalists and educators can apply for scholarships to attend this in-person training.
The Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) is offering several fellowships for those interested in attending the Data Journalism Bootcamp on Aug. 7 to 11 in Columbia, Missouri.
Fellowships typically include a one-year IRE membership or renewal and boot camp registration fees.
The R-CAR Fellowship is intended for journalists who work for a newspaper with less than a circulation of 40,000, a television station outside of the top 100 Nielsen markets, or a radio or online news organization with a record of covering rural areas.
The Ottaway Fellowship is open to journalists and educators of color.
The deadline to apply is May 8.
