Fellowships available for Data Journalism Bootcamp [US]

Investigative journalists from minority groups or those from low-circulation papers, TV journalists and educators can apply for scholarships to attend this in-person training.

The Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) is offering several fellowships for those interested in attending the Data Journalism Bootcamp on Aug. 4 to 7 in Columbia, Missouri. 

Fellowships typically include a one-year IRE membership or renewal and boot camp registration fees.

The R-CAR Fellowship is intended for journalists who work for a newspaper with a circulation less than 40,000, a television station outside the top 100 Nielsen markets, or a radio or online news organization with a record of covering rural areas.

The Ottaway Fellowship is open to journalists and educators of color. The Holly Whisehunt Stephen Fellowships accepts TV and radio journalists. 

The deadline to apply is May 6.
