Print, online, or broadcast journalists from the Middle East can compete for a prize.
The European Union seeks entries for the Samir Kassir Award for Freedom of the Press, worth EUR10,000 (US$10,943).
The competition features three categories: best opinion article, best investigative article, and best audiovisual news report. Entries must have been published between March 16, 2023 and March 15, 2024.
Applicants can submit only one piece related to the rule of law, human rights, good governance, the fight against corruption, freedom of expression, democratic development, or citizen participation.
The deadline is April 1.
