Executive Leadership Program and fellowships for journalists [Asia Pacific]

Publicado em Apr 21, 2023 em Diversity and Inclusion

Mid-career journalists based in the Asia Pacific region can apply for this hybrid training program.

The Asian American Journalists Association's Asia Chapter's (AAJA-Asia) 2023 Executive Leadership Program (ELP) is now open for applications. The program will feature an international cohort and an in-person and online program over three months, from May 25 to July 29.

It is designed to grow mid-career journalists as news leaders, managers and executives who can thrive in uncertain times and build a sustainable future for journalism. The program explores the responsibilities and challenges of a media workplace, leading in a changing landscape and the role of cultural values in a corporate environment.

Fifteen spots will be exclusively offered to journalists based in the Asia Pacific region – with a number of fellowships to defray tuition costs.

The Google News Initiative (GNI) is also supporting AAJA-Asia’s ELP Program with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) fellowships. Ten participants in Asia from underrepresented communities will be selected to attend ELP and receive full tuition grants.

Applicants from underrepresented groups within their countries' or communities' media industries are encouraged to apply.

Apply by May 8.
