Journalists and media researchers can apply for this fellowship in Doha, Qatar.

The Al Jazeera Media Institute is accepting applications for the Al Jazeera Fellowship program 2025, which seeks to encourage media and journalism research and to provide fellows with the opportunity to learn through practical experience within the Al Jazeera Media Network.

During the two-month program, fellows will have the opportunity to write a 7,000-word research paper on selected fields of journalism.

The first phase of the hybrid program will be completed remotely, and will require the fellows to submit a research plan and an introduction to their research papers. The second phase, which will be completed at the Al Jazeera headquarters in Doha, will allow fellows to continue their research until the final submission of the paper.

Priority will be given to projects focusing on digital journalism in the Arab world in the following categories: Journalism and the Global South, Digital Journalism, New Schools in Journalism, Journalistic Ethics, and Media Institutions and Challenges.

For Arabic native speakers, having a working knowledge of English will be considered as an advantage. Non-Arabic speakers must be fluent in English.

The deadline is Nov. 30.
