Contest highlights data journalism [Brazil]

Journalists who use data to report on public interest issues can compete for this award.

Escola de Dados is hosting the Cláudio Weber Abramo Award for Data Journalism.

The competition has four categories: data-driven research, visualization, innovation in data journalism and open data.

Entries must be journalistic works published or aired between Sept. 9, 2019 and Oct. 1, 2020.

The winner in each category will receive BRL2,500 in addition to registration in the Brazilian Conference on Digital Data and Digital Journalism (Coda.Br).

Finalists will also receive free admission to Coda.Br.

The deadline is Oct. 1.
