Journalists who use data to report on public interest issues can compete for this award.
Open Knowledge Brasil is hosting the Cláudio Weber Abramo Award for Data Journalism.
The competition has four categories: data-driven research, visualization, open data, and innovation and experimentation. The winner in each category will receive BRL2,500 and airline tickets to attend the award ceremony in Brasília.
Entries must be journalistic works published or aired in digital, print, TV, radio, online platforms or any other physical and virtual medium from Oct. 9, 2023 to Sept. 1, 2024.
The application deadline is Sept. 22.
