UN reporting fellowship Deadline: March 1, 2019

Young journalists can apply to report on the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The fellowship is open to journalists from Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and will provide travel, accommodations and a per diem. Learn more here.

Photojournalism contest for women from IWMF Deadline: March 1, 2019

Women photojournalists in dangerous environments can be nominated for an award from the International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF). The winner will receive a cash prize and the opportunity to show their work. Click here for more information.

Awards for religion reporting Deadline: March 1, 2019

The Religion Newswriters Association will recognize journalists from newspapers, magazines, broadcast outlets, online outlets and more. More than 20 awards will be given, with prizes totaling more than US$10,000 in prizes. Learn more here.

Human rights fellowship for women Deadline: March 7, 2019

Women who report on human rights and social justice can apply for a yearlong fellowship program from the International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF), which will give them access to MIT’s Center for International Studies and newsrooms like The Boston Globe and The New York Times. Travel writing scholarship from World Nomads Deadline: March, 13, 2019

DW Akademie is accepting applications for its International Media Studies program (IMS) in Bonn, Germany. Ten full scholarships are offered to applicants from Africa, Asia, Latin America or Eastern Europe.
