Emerging journalists can apply for a fellowship to report on the global rise of populist authoritarianism.
The GroundTruth Project, with support from the MacArthur Foundation, will select five applicants for a two-month reporting fellowship, which will be the basis for the 2019 season of the GroundTruth Podcast.
Although podcasting experience is not required, applicants must include clear and detailed ideas for how they will convey the reporting using evocative and compelling audio.
The fellowship offers US$10,000 to cover travel, lodging, risk assessment, insurance, training and podcast production.
The deadline is March 17.
