Journalists around the world can apply for this fellowship which offers reporting grants.
The National Press Foundation (NPF) is offering an online fellowship on covering rare diseases. Twenty fellows will be selected for the program.
The program will consist of online briefings and question-and-answer sessions from top world experts in rare diseases, diagnostics, targeted testing and drug development, as well as from leaders of patient advocacy groups and journalists who have been covering the issues.
In addition, fellows will receive grants up to US$3,000 to support reporting projects focused on rare diseases anywhere in the world.
The program runs Oct. 17 to 18. Fellows will attend a special program, Oct. 19, with experts and coaches in narrative journalism.
The application deadline is Aug. 16.
