Newsroom managers from Sub-Saharan Africa can attend an in-person training in Nairobi, Kenya.
The Aga Khan University is hosting the training program “Managing Conflict in Today’s Newsroom.” The program seeks to give news managers the ability to resolve workplace conflict and disagreement in order to lead effectively.
Participants will cover key conflict resolution concepts relevant to the functions of emerging newsroom managers and leaders.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to learn effective strategies to manage disputes within the newsroom; enhance their leadership and conflict resolution skills to advance their career in media management; and improve team dynamics and create a positive work environment that fosters collaboration.
The program will be held Dec. 1 to 4.
The application deadline is Aug. 29.
