Training program focuses on managing newsroom conflict [Sub-Saharan Africa]

Newsroom managers from Sub-Saharan Africa can attend an in-person training in Nairobi, Kenya.

The Aga Khan University is hosting the training program “Managing Conflict in Today’s Newsroom.” The program seeks to give news managers the ability to resolve workplace conflict and disagreement in order to lead effectively.

Participants will cover key conflict resolution concepts relevant to the functions of emerging newsroom managers and leaders.

A combination of lectures, individual tasks, group work, role plays, interactive simulations and case study discussions and reflections are features of the program.

The program will be held Nov. 13 to 19.

The application deadline is Aug. 31.
