Short film competition open to women filmmakers [France]

Women filmmakers ages 18 and over residing in France can submit their work.

ARTE France has launched a competition for women directors on the theme "No need for anybody."

Documentaries must be 7 to 12 minutes long.

The top five films will be purchased and broadcast on ARTE and ARTE.TV. Among these five films, the jury will select two winners. The first-place winner will be offered a development contract for a 52-minute documentary project with the ARTE France's Society & Culture unit. The second-place winner will be awarded EUR3,000.

The deadline is March 15.
