Journalists anywhere in the world can apply for this fellowship.

openDemocracy is accepting candidates for a six-month investigative journalism fellowship starting in March as part of its Tracking the Backlash project.

The fellow will focus on the health impacts of organized opposition to women’s and LGBTIQ rights across the world. He or she will receive US$2,100 per month and work 40 hours a week researching, reporting, planning and other tasks for at least two major investigative projects.

Women and LGBTIQ people living in East Africa, Central Asia, Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus are encouraged to apply.

The organization is also seeking story pitches and a data journalism fellow.

The deadline is Feb. 16.
