Journalists covering politics or government agencies can apply for a fellowship.
The Kiplinger Program in Public Affairs Journalism at Ohio University offers short-term fellowships to train journalists to cover the most pressing global issues of our time. The 2025 Kiplinger Fellowship will focus on artificial intelligence.
The fellowship will take place March 23 to 28, 2025 in Athens, Ohio.
Fellows receive six days of immersive training from experts on how AI can be used appropriately for journalism and its impact on reporting, writing, data journalism and sourcing.
Print, broadcast and online journalists with at least five years experience are eligible to apply, including freelancers.
The fellowship covers accommodations, hotel and most meals. Travel stipends are available to reduce travel costs for fellows selected from outside the United States.
The deadline is Nov. 1.
