Fact-checkers can submit proposals for a new grant.
The International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) and Facebook have launched flash grants for fact-checkers fighting coronavirus misinformation.
Possible activities include translation of fact-checks from native languages to different languages; multimedia production about COVID-19; working with health experts for evidence-based and scientific coverage; audience development initiatives that use innovative formats, such as offline or interactive communication; and fact-checkers supporting public authorities with reliable information.
Proposals must emphasize amplifying the fact-checking, increasing the reach and impact of the #CoronaVirusFactsAlliance and the fighting against health misinformation related to COVID-19.
Grantees will receive up to US$50,000.
The deadline is April 1.
