Anja Niedringhaus Courage in Photojournalism Award Deadline: March 1
The International Women's Media Foundation is recognizing a female photojournalist who displays extraordinary strength of character, bravery and perseverance in documenting the world. The Dag Hammarskjöld Fund for Journalists fellowship Deadline: March 20
Journalists from developing countries can apply for this fellowship, which offers an all-expenses-paid trip to cover the United Nations General Assembly in New York. World Nomads travel writing scholarships Deadline: March 21
World Nomads is offering all-expenses-paid, 10-day travel writing trips across the Balkans to students and nonprofessional writers. The trip begins with a three-day workshop in Montenegro led by writer Tim Neville; from there, participants travel to multiple destinations alone, documenting their experiences. The Andrei Stenin International Photo Contest Deadline: March 22
Photojournalists ages 18 to 34 can enter to win this contest, hosted by Rossiya Segodnya and the Russian Commission for UNESCO. Categories include top news, sports, portraits and more. A grand prize winner will receive RUB500,000 (US$8,185); first, second and third place prizes are RUB50,000 (US$819), RUB35,000 (US$491) and RUB25,000 (US$409), respectively. Radio Nederland Training Center scholarships Deadline: March 29

DW Akademie scholarships Deadline: March 31
Young journalists, media managers and other communication professionals can apply for a scholarship toward a master of arts in International Media Studies in Bonn, Germany. DW Akademie’s program combines research, lectures and hands-on experience. Ten full scholarships are available to applicants from Africa, Asia, Latin America or Eastern Europe.
