Print and broadcast journalists working in any language can enter a contest and compete for cash prizes.
The United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD) is launching the #CrisesofInequality Media Contest. The contest seeks the best journalistic materials that showcase the key themes of UNRISD’s 2022 Flagship Report: Crises of Inequality: Shifting Power for a New Eco-Social Contract.
Journalists participating in the contest help UNRISD by increasing awareness of the urgency to build a new eco-social contract based on visions of justice, equality and sustainability.
To participate, journalists must pick a theme from the UNRISD’s 2022 Flagship Report and make a clear reference to it when writing their stories.
The top three entries will receive prizes of US$1,000, US$750 and US$500, respectively. A reporter under the age of 30 will receive a special prize of US$500.
The deadline is Dec. 4.
