Journalists interested in improving their coverage of COVID-19 can enroll in this course.
The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas, through its Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), hosts the free course "Covering the COVID-19 vaccine: What journalists need to know" March 29 to April 25.
The course is divided into four modules offered in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.
Topics include how vaccines were achieved against COVID-19, the efficacy of the different vaccine formulas, plans for distributing the vaccines and more.
The instructor is Maryn McKenna, an independent journalist who specializes in public health, global health and food policy.
The course is accessible to anyone with an internet connection.
