Mongabay seeks French editor [Africa]

Environmental journalists can apply for this remote position based in Africa.

Mongabay is looking for a full-time French editor for its Africa content.

The editor will be responsible for the production of daily news and feature stories in French, while coordinating with other Mongabay editors. He or she will commission, edit and publish French-language content on topics related to the environment and conservation in Africa, with a special focus on wildlife and natural resource industries in West and Central Africa.

Candidates must have three or more years of experience working in journalism, possibly with media outlets in Africa. Exceptional fluency (writing and speaking) in French and English is required. They must also have knowledge and familiarity with conservation and environmental issues.
