ARIJ hosts investigative program [Jordan]

Journalists, media students and university lecturers can apply for a 10-month project starting February 2021.

The Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ) is accepting applications for the “100 Watts” project, which is supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Jordan.

In the first phase of the program, trainees will participate in workshops and seminars that address investigative journalism topics such as investigative hypotheses, the art of confrontation, open-sources, data journalism and auditing.  

In the second phase, 20 trainees will be selected for the“ARIJ Fellowship for Investigative Journalism in Jordan” to produce 10 investigations. Their stories will be published on Jordanian and Arab media platforms.

In the third phase, 10 trainees will be selected to work with Arab and international investigative reporters on three cross-border investigations.

The deadline is Jan. 15, 2021.
