Journalists in Brazil can submit pitches for a reporting grant.
The Intercept Brasil, in partnership with Associação Data Privacy Brasil de Pesquisa, has launched the Investigative Journalism Grants in Techno-Authorianism.
Four reporters will receive BRL4,500 each to investigate how local, state and federal governments or private companies are using artificial intelligence, cameras, databases, social media and other tools to violate and threaten fundamental rights of the people.
Candidates will be selected based on the following criteria: journalistic relevance, originality, documentation, feasibility and possibility of impact.
The deadline is March 1.
